High Risk Tree Removal
When a tree becomes hazardous, storm-damaged, structurally compromised or located in a confined space, it requires far more than standard tree care. Our licensed Sunshine Coast climbing arborists are trained to assess, dismantle and remove high-risk trees safely, using industry-approved techniques and equipment to protect people, property and surrounding vegetation.
From Noosa to Caloundra, we’re trusted for complex removals other crews won’t touch, because high-risk tree work demands precision, planning and the expertise of qualified professionals.
What Is Considered High-Risk Tree Work?
High-risk tree work includes any tree or site conditions where specialised skills, planning and equipment are required to minimise hazards. For example:
Trees that are damaged, leaning, rotten or simply not stable anymore.
Tight spaces around houses, sheds, fences or power lines.
Jobs that require climbing, ropes, machinery or working at height.
Trees located near roads, footpaths or hidden services underground or overhead.

Our High-Risk Tree Removal Services
-
The safest and most common method for residential properties.
Our arborists climb or access the tree using advanced rope systems or elevated platforms, removing it in controlled sections to avoid damage to your home or landscaping. -
Where space and conditions allow, trees may be safely felled in one controlled movement.
This method is fast and cost-effective, but only used when structural integrity and surroundings meet strict safety requirements. -
Used when tree climbing isn’t the safest option. Our team uses EWP equipment to access difficult canopies, reduce fall risks and perform precise cutting. EWPs are selected based on reach, terrain stability, access and overhead hazards.
-
Fallen or unstable trees pose immediate danger.
We respond quickly to secure the area, assess hazards and remove debris with minimal further impact.
Our High Risk Work Process
If you’re in need of a high risk job done in Noosa or the Sunshine Coast, here’s what you can expect from our licensed arborists.
Before we touch anything, we take a good look at the tree and its surroundings. That includes checking the tree’s condition, how it’s sitting in the ground, nearby structures, access points and any potential hazards like power lines or tight spaces. This helps us decide the safest way to tackle the job.
1.Assessment & inspection
3.Setting Up Safe Work Zones
We establish clear safety zones around the work area to protect people, buildings and nearby traffic. Our team stays in constant communication throughout the job so everyone knows what’s happening at all times.
Our Noosa arborists will take care of all clean-up or at least provide the option to. This includes the removal of branches, logs, and other debris. In some cases, generally the branches will be turned into usable woodchips. Depending on the size of the logs, they can be chipped, retained as firewood, milled or removed.
5.Clean-up and Disposal
Once the assessment is complete, we create a detailed plan for tree removal. This plan includes how the tree(s) will be taken down, which equipment will be used, and how the debris will be managed.
2. Planning
Trees are removed in a controlled, step-by-step process. Branches and sections are carefully lowered or lifted away rather than dropped, reducing the risk of damage and keeping everything predictable and safe.
4.Controlled Removal
The Greenish Challenge
Sustainability from the ground up is our mission, as we offset major environmental impact on our wildlife by planting more trees than we cut down. Currently we partner with Landcare Australia and One Tree Planted to make a difference in our world.
Greenish Tree Care is passionate about connecting with our local tree planters and are looking to connect in the future.
